Vegetal Import Festival è un’atmosfera, è un mood che raccoglie suoni, lyrics, ragionamenti, esperimenti, arrangiamenti, sets, gigs, loops; tappeti sonori provenienti da più paesi nel mondo e sincronizzati in un chaos ordinato. Il ricordo di qualcosa. L’origine? Un sibilo? Un rumore? Un luogo di passaggio, un’atmosfera temporanea, un nido di stanchezza, dove l’aspetto più importante è il prendersi cura. Prendersi cura della propria relazione con il suono, ma anche prendersi cura del suono di un’altra persona, di un altro “mammifero”. Le parole si mischiano e la musica entra a far parte di un flusso ininterrotto: di stimoli, di vibrazioni, di segnali. Nel flusso la performance muore sul nascere, o meglio: la fa chi l’ascolta, e chi l’osserva! La nostra attenzione ormai attratta più dalla memoria e dall’archiviazione che dall’esperienza stessa di un concerto, o di una simile situazione, prende vita in un festival di importazioni vegetali. Chiamali suoni, chiamali ricordi, chiamali tentativi di cattura, o eco. Ci si proietta in una “stanza”, in una “camera”, in una “strofa”, in cui la musica diventa “luogo”, diventa “momento”, diventa “meditazione”, Il sentire, il cogliere vibrazioni. Tutto arriva e tutto si immette nell’organismo: la scelta è la cosa più difficile da fare. Vegetal Import Festival è un‘’immersione che si manifesta solo se qualcuno ha voglia di “viverla”, ha voglia di vederla dal vivo. Dalla memoria al live. Un tentativo di ricostruire l’invisibile.

Vegetal Import Festival is an atmosphere, it is a mood that collects sounds, lyrics, thoughts, experiments, arrangements, sets, gigs, loops. It is an environment covered of “carpets of sound” coming from all over the world, which are here synchronized in a tidy chaos. It is the memory of something. Is it the origin? Or a whistle? Or a noise? It is place of passage, a temporary atmosphere, a nest of tiredness, where taking care becomes the core value. Taking care of your relationship with the sound, but also take care of the sound of another person, of another “mammal”. The words mixes up and the music becomes part of an uninterrupted flow: of stimuli, vibrations and signals. In this flow the performance dies in the bud, or rather: it’s made by who listen to it, and who observes it! Our attention nowadays is attracted more by the memory of what we experience and by archiving it, rather than by the real experience of a concert.
This re-discovered approach comes back to life in a festival about “vegetal imports”. They can be called sounds, memories, echos or just the attempt to capture the experience of them. Music becomes a place and we are projected in a room , in a chamber, in a verse, in a moment of meditation, feeling and grasping the vibrations . Everything converges in this living organism and the choice of what to experience becomes hard. “Vegetal Import Festival is an immersion that occurs only if someone wants to “live it”.
